This garment represents Jesus Christ's triumph over death (1 Cor 15:55). When Jesus was crucified, He defeated death itself, thus the skull beneath His feet. There were 3 bars were on the cross, the one on the top, which was the plank they put above His head reading "King of Glory" or "Jesus The Nazarene, King of The Jews" to mock Him. The one in the middle where His arms were nailed. And finally, the one for His feet to rest upon with the upper left pointing upwards, towards Heaven, while the lower end points downwards. This representing the two thieves crucified with Christ. One of them repented and entered the kingdom of heaven, but the other died without repentance, these are our choices in life also.
